Surrogate Interactive is currently looking to hire an experienced programmer for some short-term contract work on their project Brutal.
More specifically we are looking to hire someone to work on the integration of a physics engine into the game.
Responsibilities:
Integration of advanced physics engine into the game engine, including collision detection between character and environment models and the world.
Requirements:
Must have a worked with a Quake Engine game or modification (Half-Life, Quake, Kingpin etc.)
Thorough knowledge and experience with C/C++ (3 years minimum)
Experience with game physics
Good communication/writing skills
Extremely creative problem solver!
Comprehensive knowledge of the computer gaming industry and its products
A passion for games and game design
Bonus:
Experience programming with OpenGL and DirectX
Experience with other programming languages
Experience programming AI, animation, interfaces, game logic, simulation, sound, and/or other game areas
