Hi,

I'm developing a new service for HTML5 WebSockets and looking for testers that might be interested in making online games using this technology. The learning curve is little compared to just starting from scratch. The benefits will bring quick return and the best part is..it's free.

If you're just starting out don't worry too much it's just HTML5 nothing intense. The server end concept is based on an idea I had.

Here is the website:

Example 2:

I'm a senior at my university and this is my first prototype to a concept I've been working on for a few months. If you are interested in hearing more please get back to me.

It's free, this is not for research, and this is just for fun. I'm trying to push the technology and I know free service and open community helps.

Thanks for reading.

I think I have an idea of what you're doing, but I believe you should add more content on your website about the project. Post samples, API documentation, downloads, etc. It's pretty basic to just post two videos. I also didn't watch your videos completely, but I noticed you say "ah" and "um" a lot. I know it's quite common for most people, but do try to avoid speech disfluencies :D

Now, for the meat of the subject. Is your intent to host the projects and mediate the communication through your channels or are you just writing a high-level websocket library for JS developers to host on their own site? I get the impression you will be hosting the content, but in doing so you will bare the burdens of supplying sufficient bandwidth, CPU loads, and the costs associated with that. For a free service, you might soon change your mind if things start to pick up for you. Using a browser textblock to write server code would also bring forth great levels of insanity for anything beyond simple stuff.

So what are your goals for this? Are you aiming to provide a game lobby service?

Haha thanks buddy I really appreciate the feedback!

As far as the project goes I'm willing to scale and try building the community with the spirit of taking care of server costs.
I'm working on the content at the moment. WebSocket is an API that comes with HTML5 as standard in most browsers. The service gives a higher language LUA as the server handling script language.

It's a different take on how the server side will do. I understand that code will be hard to do within a textblock but that's is part of this project for me. Which is to build a better way to put in code so suggestions are great to push it forward.
