i just got this really awesome idea!

What if instead of using bitmaps for details, you do something like a flash implementation ontop of the surface of the model, so the texture is infact vector graphics, so its polygons on polygons.

so you draw lines and fill gradients between the lines... anyone ever done this before?

do you think its worth attempting?
you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.

Did it years ago in the MultiSystem

Had a spinning 3D cube with a different game on each face

Not having to go through the unwrapping process is a pretty cool thing... even though maybe at the end of everything youd export that way anyhow.
