My name is Shawn and I am developing text-based games. I thought I might as well join up

Other than my games, I am big into website development and I run quite a few forums. I love cycling and I chase storms.

Hi Shawn, welcome aboard. So you're into text based games eh? Are you just starting out in the world of gaming or do you just fancy text games? I use to be a MUD player back in the day, but that's ancient history Since you're into website development, have you looked into HTML5 for web gaming?

I am just starting out but I also have a knack for text based games I like to read and write, so I thought what the heck. I am using a forum software to make the game if you can believe it SMF 2.0 (freeware) so I don't have to spend so much time coding a membership area and so on. However, if the game does well, maybe 2.0 will have its own engine. HTML5 looks good for making games and is something I'd like to look into! I just don't know that much about making animated graphics, I would be the lowest n00b on the ladder for that part, haha. However, open to tips and that!
