Im looking forward to it. one reason so many people build for mobile phones. is because its cheaper and easier to put a game on mobile. but no joystick is a no go, for me as an end user. but with this now there is a joystick and a tv. thats open to any who want to develop. Ill certainly test it out to see what kind of games can be made with it

I'm kind of taking a wait and see attitude towards it. It could be pretty cool for independents and hobbyists, or it could get taken over because it's open source. I don't even have a tv set anymore, so I would need something for a monitor. TV's are cheap, but commercials give me a headache and I have a small house.

@fireside: are you saying that you don't watch TV? OMG, and I thought I was the only TV-deprived individual in the world!
On the OUYA: well, the hw specs aren't bad (except for RAM: 1 GB is really low). What really, really bores me is the Android thing.

Yeah, I had an old CRT one, but I just took it to the recycle because it was taking up space. I don't mind TV, I just get a headache when commercials are playing. It's way too repetitive for me. I mainly read books and play around on the computer or find other things to do.

to fireside I use my tv mainly for games. every now and then I watch sports or the news, on it. but I usually use my computer for sports and news also. I know what you mean about commercials. thats part of the reason Im not big on tv
