Update

The team have been working extra hard to give you some news before the big bearded one comes down your chimney :P

Here's the latest.

We have peds! Not just one type or two we have 9 different types of ped to splat now, if that wasn't enough the way they splat is far better then the original KK, peds now have different dead poses, so sometimes they are on their fronts, sometimes their backs and sometimes even chopped in half.

My fave bit is that blood flys off when you hit peds which splats either when it hits the ground or hits a building.

Is that all your christmas presents from the team at KK? No! My sound man is in the middle of making all the cars in KK sound big and growly, the splat sound has now been added which I can report makes run over peds even more satisfying :D

There will be a different splat sound for each ped type which should add some variety.

Right to finish all this off have some pics.

the songs really *bad ass* hehe suits it good.
should go for some industrial tracks like nine inch nails- they would go good with it too.
Im sure bassquake can do that, the musician looks really good.
you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.

Thanks mate, hopefully this won't be the only song by them. I should have another band on board too but i can't name any names yet. Currently my Sound Dev is doing lots of working on the SFX for KK.

You know i let someone try KK last night and they was having great fun just driving around and sliding, i then let them try a version before the new engine was on it and what a difference, the only good thing he had to say was that it was a nice selection of cars but other then that he was just getting stuck inside buildings and allsorts, what a big difference and things like this make me realise even more that it was a good idea to start the game again with the brand new Retrolistic engine me and the team created.

The AI engine is once again underway now we have the new handling engine more or less sorted, i managed to knuckle down and get some work done on it last night.
The car collection is building once again, so far there is now 2 cars in the game, one of them is my take on the Mighty Eagle with the roof mounted exhausts. More cars coming really soon, you will only see so many of them though as want to keep most of the mottahs as a surprise.

Hi rosse,

It's great that you're motivated and continuing work on your game, but I must notify you that DevMaster is not your personal blog :) Please keep your personal announcements limited to major milestones. We also prefer, although it's not enforced, that you post technical or academic details with your announcements so that they serve more than just mere advertisement for your work. If a community member wants to learn more about how you did something, it would be grateful for you to share that information. Post any links to websites or research papers that you used and try to go into some detail or provide an overview of your thoughts. Provide feedback for others so that they too can benefit from the same material and/or processes you used.

For future milestones, I would also recommend you modify your original post rather than send a new reply, since this thread has already extended to 2 pages and it's unlikely viewers may continue reading through what appears to be unimportant information. Just make sure to post the date of any new content so that viewers can quickly see what's new.

It would also be nice to participate in other discussions once in a while. It kind of feels like spam when it's only advertisement.

sorry guys i thought this was a progress thread to talk about my personal progress for the game i'm making, i am happy to answer any tech questions. I am working so hard on this game to get it completed this year that i simply don't have much time to join in any other discussions, i've hardly played any games of any sort lately due to working on KK.

I'll stop posting as this was the last thing i expected. If anyone asked any questions i'll happily reply when i check back but i must have misunderstood the point of this forum section.
