Hey there.
My name is Eric Adamshick. I’m currently going into my 3rd year of college at Boston University and I’m a double major, in Cello Performance and Composition & Theory. I’ve always loved video games, even to the extent of being interested in design, but music was my passion and naturally I stuck with it. I have often been told my music sounds like it’s from the score of a film or video game, and after thinking about it, that’s definitely a path I’m interested in going down. So, if you are at all interested in hearing my stuff or possibly using it in a game/film, I would recommend you listen to a few of my pieces, which I have posted on my SoundCloud (www.soundcloud.com/cellofr3ak). Please feel free to email me at cellofr3ak@gmail.com, on SoundCloud, or PM me in the forum if you have questions, comments, or would be interested in working together.
Thanks.
P.S. Some of the SoundCloud recordings are pretty soft, so I’d recommend using headphones/turning your volume up to hear them. The main purpose for this is so they cannot be ripped off.

Hi Eric,
I moved your post to the Personal Announcement forum where it is better suited. We're predominately a software development site so you may or may not get the kind of attention you want. You may want to consider providing more details about yourself such as your musical interests (classical, jazz, electronic, instrumental, etc.), the types of projects you would like to work on, your target salary/wage (can be private / negotiable, but you should at least mention this isn't free), your availability, and so on. At some point you may want to consider investing in your own domain name and web host to advertise your business and/or musical works. It will help to promote yourself, and definitely jump on the YouTube bandwagon.
One other thing. It really helps to put your music into context, otherwise it's just another audio stream on the Internet (sorry, I'm not trying to be condescending here as this is your trade). If you can find someone that will use your work for a film or game, that would definitely help boost your business, but you may want to consider composing your own demo reel just to get the ball rolling. There are numerous free and high quality videos that you can use as fillers to showcase your music. For example, you can extract clips from Sintel, Big Buck Bunny, or Elephants Dream and compose music for them in your demo reel. It you have the time and patience, it would be even better to replace the music in footage from various video games, particularly the scenes with the most emotion. Another alternative model is to follow what incomptech does.

you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.

I just listened few of the pieces and they are really good indeed (put the page in my fav for occasional listening while developing code) - I can't promise anything right now (because it's still a lot of time off) but we could use music like that in our final product (of course right now there is really a TON of things to be done before, like game mechanics and actually building the world & scripting storyline - without these things we can't even think about using music in a game).
