You can use nearly every programming language but often c/ c++ and java is used. Sometimes also Python or others.
Often commercial game engines have their own propietary scriptlanguage. If you want to use an engine I suggest Unreal, Unity or the CryEngine.
If you also want to write code I suggest OGRE or Irrlicht (or mine, but it is not really useable at the moment ;) )
But writing a game is not a simple task, start with something simple...
And don't forget, Google and the Internet is your friend :D
Reading, Reading, Reading... why do you read not more?
I have a blog: omercan1993.wordpress.com look there for more content Posted Image
And whats about the Pear3DEngine? Never heard of it? Go and look!

PS: Please look at this poll on my blog about scripting languages: A opinion poll about scripting language

I think Python is probably the best language to learn first when beginning to program. This free online book has a good collection of lessons on it. You should spend some time learning the programming basics before you worry about making a game. The book does have an exercise near the end that involves making a text adventure. Once you want to do some graphics, you can try pygame.

Ashraf, you seem to be very interested, but a complete novice to this world. I would highly recommend you get an introductory book on programming to get a comprehensive overview of the basics.
Hyperbole is, like, the absolute best, most wonderful thing ever! However, you'd be an idiot to not think dogmatism is always bad.

Every OS has a command prompt. It's not a program. It should be somewhere in your menu. In Windows XP it's in the accessories folder.
Currently using Blender and Unity.

Reedbeta is spot on, there are some good books that describe the basic concepts regarding games for python, and pygame is a simple and good library.
