global illumination on a 256x256 terrain patch

im not quite sure if ive got it quite right... ive put up walls around the edges of the patch
so theres something in the way for photons to bounce off of.
you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.

Why don't you grab a copy of giles and run it on the same scene?

Might give you some ideas
