Hi I am just starting to get into middleware such as FMod and Wwise?

I want to focus on one at a time, any advise on which to start on?

Also does anyone have any advice on good books on either? I have found the youtube links but I learn better with books.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I could recommend another one - OpenAL :)

Anyway I also tried FMod and it was quite simple to use it - so if you want to learn, try both - implementing middleware is quite simple (you can even implement both and let user decide which one to use :P ).

If you don't know how to speed up application, go "roarrrrrr!", hit the compiler with the club and use -O3 :D

They are both very good and equaly powerfull. I'd maybe go with FMOD first since their interface is more clean and clear fo a begginer.
