Noooob alert! I make lots of 2d animations and images to be made into mobile games. Where do I begin with the programming aspect? Should I use C++ or as3? Thanks so much for your time!

As3 might be a decent choice, but Flash doesn't run on some mobile game platforms.
Python is a very good starting language. There are a few mobile engines that can use it. Papaya is a social engine that uses it. I don't know much about it other than just looking at the little demo:

Even if you do decide to use a different language for the engine you choose, it will be pretty easy to learn after you have used Python for a bit. If you are a total artist and don't want to learn programming, you could look at Gamemaker.
