I've got my copy picking up dust on the desk, waiting for Sunday till I can finally unwrap it and try it out (seen some vids, did not play beta). Has anyone here played it though? What's your thoughts? Typical blizzardy product (awesome, with lots of well polished tiny details) or an unpleasant surprise?

Also, while browsing the net to determine whether I need to upgrade my GPU to max it or not, I came across an interesting discussion on some forum. Basically someone was moaning about lack of support for some Twin Turbo GTI DirectX 24.367 features, and the response from Blizzard was that instead of pushing the tech boundaries they focus on gameplay and artwise to make a stylized, timeless product.

I absolutely second that. This way D3 has a chance to look great in it's own way in few years time (they always plan for long lifespan with their games), while current Call of Duty will be simply.. old and forgotten.

I was considering giving it a try since I'm a great fan of the series, but that modern policy of not owning the game and requiring an active connection to play brought me off. It's just too much of a hussle, I can't enjoy it that way.

I see your point Mihail, I'm not bothered by that at all though.

So far anyone I know who has it praised the hell out of it.. just couple more days of hard work till Sunday;)
