Would you happen to know the name of the technique where game events are recorded in a string such as:
aaabaab
and the string is matched to other string which have variance?
example:
aaabaab matches best to:
aabaabaaccccc
so we either match that string, find a different one or choose a new move for example.
Is this 'game event recording' and 'loose matching' for example.
I started a project and the string count added up quickly.
After seeing a technology that makes 'sequences of sequences' and is able to make predictions based on past and current context it seemed to match this need.
Invariant representations and landmarks should solve many problems in planning and representing situations however these ideas have been met with some resistance. Please let me know what you think so far.
