Hey,
I have visited the open-school day at NHTV in Breda, The Netherlands, and after visiting the Game Programmer presentation I decided to try the 'tutorial' on the website, as they had it written down on the schoolboard.
Even though I am not able to apply for this school yet because I'm in pre-graduation class, I would like to try to take http://devmaster.net...rt-1-intro]this C++ course[/url] so I can atleast code something already before I am going to apply.
After going through the first 2 parts, I did run into a 'outdated' file, as read on the internet.
The "Part 2" of the tutorial tells me to download a file (Which is a template), but after downloading this file, I'm unable to build it. It keeps giving me "Can't find %path to file%/Template.exe", and as I've read on the internet, it's because I have Visual Studio 2010 while this template was written for 2007. I don't know if this is true, but I've tried to do some fixes I found on Google, which didn't work at all. It would be a little demotivating if the tutorial would be unable to use for me because I have Visual Studio 2010.
Is there any solution for me to solve this problem? I have no experience with C++ at all, so I don't have any clue how I could edit the files so they'd actually run.

hello,
I had the same problem and after carfully reading I saw that "the preferred development environment is Microsoft's Visual Studio 2008" I have downloaded it and it works fine now.

I had the same problem when i started with that tutorial and got things to work in Visual Studio 2010 with some help from users in this forum. I downloaded the template file again and edited it so it works in Visual Studio 2010. Post here or send me a pm if you encounter more problems. Download link
