Separate audio to separate computers?

I am working on doing a sound performance piece and essentially what I want to do is send audio tracks to four to eight different computers in my classroom and mix them in and out to create one massive, harmonious soundscape using the audience's own computers and speakers.

I am trying to create an app, or find another program to either, (1) send multiple and different tracks to up to eight different computers or, (2) to link it up to logic pro (ableton, mainstage, etc.) to send each track, thus making them "editable" during the performance.

Thanks a lot,

Jeremy

Just a guess, you might look into "Internet radio" (i.e. audio streaming) software - I don't know anything about it myself but there might be something free out there that can do what you want.

Another possibility might be the audio programming language Supercollider. I have a friend who uses it for live electronic music performances. It operates on a client-server model, so I suspect it can be used to stream audio from one computer to another, although I don't know any specifics about how that would be set up.
