Hi Guys,
I currently work in the Hospitality trade but I have the opportunity of a QA tester position with a well know developer. I have been asked to find out a number of things pre-interview and there is one that I am struggling to find online and was wondering if anyone could possibly help - In terms of console game development, what is an 'XGD' file and what is it used for?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The only description I could find was "xgd: Xbox 360 Game Disc Layout File". I would guess it's something lice the .cue file of a .bin/.cue pair when burning CD:s.

Well Xgd is an external graphics device, as in http://www.rforge.net/xGD/ but I doubt that is what they want

What they probably want is for you to know about xbox360 disc layout files, but since the contents are covered by a NDA, you won't be able to know what's in them unless you have already worked in QA.

wait one,,,,,,,

Okay found this which may help
