the last looks better but its mostly wider. you should try box modeling the character before sculpting it. then you only need to add detail once your scultping and not keep reshaping it

also, the arm muscles are kind of weird. the biceps i don't really see, and theres some weird muscle sticking out above the elbow. the calves look like they're longer than the thighs, and the pelvis should be wider

this was done in a 3d program without sculpting. anything with color that looks like detail was painted on. it has form without being sculpted.

this approach might be easier for you to get the base shape than sculpting I couldnt post an image. here is a link

you should try box modeling the body out. foot goes here, calf here, knee here, pelvis, etc. while it may not look like it. thats how the first link is made
