you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.

The priority has been getting the site released first, so a lot of features, like the IOTD, articles, etc. haven't been ported over yet. That will happen once things settle down and we iron out the current issues.

Thanks Rouncer, I did it in Blender. I saw a 2d game with something like it and wanted to see if I could model it.

image of the day seems tedious, why not one a week

His avatar reminds me of those wretched Illithids from Baldur's Gate
Hardest enemy of all time.
As for the POTD, I have mixed emotions about it with the new layout. I think the site would look more professional without it and it frees up space for other important announcements. People can still post their stuff in the personal announcements forum if they want.

It was inspired by the Cthulhu:

Can't find the actual image I saw, though. It was a simpler image used in a 2d game. After seeing some of those, I'd kind of like to do something more complex. Wouldn't work well for an avatar, though. This one is actually tooned and lined, but it's too small to see. It would be cool to make it more dragon like with the octopus head.
