I would like to know where to start and how to start the open source community on some specific project basically for educational purpose?
I also like to know where and how to collect people's opinion about some project in their mind that they are actually willing to have it in public? or i will say people's feedback on the project whether it is convincing or not?

i open to everything right now but i am more inclined to the current technologies like in ps3 and xbox kinect wireless technologies. Its pretty much like doing research on it about the possibilities both in hardware and software sections. Any ideas, site links, suggestions, about other people's works...All are most welcome...

I guess, look into a repository like Google Code or Sourceforge.net. People in the linux community are really up on that kind of thing so check them out. Posting on forums like this is one of the best ways to get opinions, just make sure the questions are specific enough so people understand it.
Currently using Blender and Unity.
