Been a while since my last post. So this is my first finished Indie Game (for Caffeinated Games). It is a Puzzle game where you shoot bricks to try to get 3 or more in a row. If you get 4 or more you get different powerups and you can create chains by having bricks fall (Upward). I also incorporated enemies into the game (shooting moles, and a huge tree battle at the end). There are hearts and coins to collect as well. I was hoping to make kind of a side scrolling puzzle game where the environment would come to you and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
This is the first game I developed using unity3d which was awesome. I've always liked using C# as it is fast and tweaking a game in unity is extremely rapid. Iteration was definitely a big key in getting the pacing right in the game. The other thing that was great was being able to build the game for iOS and Android at the same time. There were some little tweaks for each but overall it was very seamless. I also used the awesome plugins over at prime. They were extremely helpful and got back to me immediately with any questions I had. SketchUp was another tool that really helped with the rapid iteration since I made all the art for the game as well. I also built a tool which I have posted in a previous image of the day called Sket2FBX to convert sketchup models to fbx.

This project was a lot of fun and the rapid iteration in unity was definitely a plus. Marketing has probably been the hardest challenge so far and i'm still working on it.
