Unfortunately HTML 5 doesn't support pressure inputs, so the Bamboo device and similar ones have to rely on software to control the brush properties. In my particular app, I added in several configurable properties to control the brushes.
The web app is still in its infancy, but I'm looking forward to adding more to it as time goes on. Online posting and sharing is pretty much a no-brainer, but I'm also investigating the possibility for gaming. There's an old game called Pictionary that I would like to remake. Something my colleagues and I can do when the boss isn't looking

The lines look nice and hand drawn (neat) trying to get that with the mouse is a complete pain.
just to change the subject a little, ive moved my art to skin and tattoo gun recently, ill post something soon - im practicing on pig skins. the difficulty factor is slightly increased cause you have to constantly wipe excess ink off the skin as you do it, and you have to make sure the ink gets imbedded properly, your not allowed to scratch around like usual.
But shading is pretty intuitive, you just add a bit, wipe it off, add a little more till you get the right depth of colour. (but you have a different gun for shading. it has a bigger needle battery at the tip.

Rouncer, yeah, the mouse is a bit difficult to work with. It's great for straight lines, horrible for curves ;) That's what I find so neat about the pen tablet. I thought at first writing without looking down at what I am doing would be tough, but it's quite natural. The device also supports touch, so oil and finger type paintings would be an interesting possibility. Speaking of which, I watched a documentary on Leonardo da Vinci and the various art projects he took on. His techniques, and of course results were quite fascinating.
