my beloved copy arrived today today, and i was so happy and
anxious to install, but then after the installation my windows and this message came up saying that it can't locate
d3dx9_27.dll. what's that?? and what do i do now?
please help me.. i'm desperate.

Your beloved copy of what? Anyway, it sounds like DirectX isn't properly installed; the game should have done that when it installed, but maybe it didn't. You can download and install DirectX here.

I was also facing the same problem and I have searched over the net to find missing d3dx9_27.dll file. I have downloaded d3dx9_27.dll file from the link provided below:
http://dllcentral.co....0000/download/
You can download any missing or corrupted dll files for free from the above web site. And also, if you are not sure why you are getting .dll error messages, you can run a scan by clicking at “Run a Free DLL Scan” link.
Please like the above solution if it fixes your issue.
