cloudRealms is an open source web based MMORPG game engine, licensed under the AGPL v3 which allows you to easily create your own 2D social RPG. It's completely open source, and relies on no additional 3rd party browser plugins, even flash which leaves room for smart phone development.

I have a lot of plans for the engine in the coming future. I just released the unstable, which is only 2 months worth of development.

Coming soon I will update the code with a framework for MVC. If your interested in checking it out you can visit the website hosted on sourceforge.net their is a live demo.

I am redoing the character creation module, so if you have problems creating character that is why. The demo is actually being actively developed on, but you can download and run your own copy and run sprites on it as well.
