Hi guys, first post, first thoughts=)

The thing is i want to create my own MMO, I know the task will be tough, but summer vacation is near and I will have a lot of sparetime. Im currently working at my Bachelor deggre (IT - engineer), doing alot of java programming but havent really gotten into the big stuff like C++, though i understand they have alot of common things atleast at begginner lvls. But we will get to it in the next semester.
For making a MMO, which is a huge task if you wanna do it good, you will need a team, a team of modders, programmers and designers/writers. Making one on your own is doable but it would be a huge project and also a difficult task + very time consuming more than it allready is.
Engine: UDK/Hero-Engine/VisonEngine (thats the three i've been looking at, though UDK/Vison is most appealing)
The Game: Fairy Tale
A fantasy MMOrpg, yeah there are already shitloads out, so competition is hard. Will revolve around magic and magic only.
Divided into islands, one huge one medium and lots of smaller islands.
Will be guild focused, and PvP focused, with no actually gear, clothing will only be cosmetics, gear obtainable is weapons and jewelry. To make it a bit more balanced.
Able to build guild houses in cities and out in the open at specific locations.
Combat System: Action Based (Aka non targeting system) Third-person view.
Fist/magic based, with only a few classes wielding actual weapons. Mana for all players no matter what you choose to play as, decaying magic powers during fight.
Proffesions: Boat-Making, Enchanting, Alchemy, Jewelry; Sub-Proffesions: Gathering(including wood, plants, mining)
User-Group: 15+ as it will contain gore/blood, to make it a tad more realistic.
Classes; Based around elements, and maybe subclassing. No healing magic other than potions.
Races: Humans only playable, but alot of different magical creatures/factions.
Death: Respawn at certain location/guild.
Lvling system: Quest based, pvp based.
Skillsystem: Learning skills will be done through a trainer where you cant buy the skill other than learning it in a process through quest or training grounds.
Stats Based, making it uniqe for every player.
This is just a first look and its a game that i want to creat i know there is a lot more work to do and i need more willing people who wanna create a game that is abit out of the ordaniry targeting systems that so many use with a few tweaks that might catch the aduience aswell.
So if you are inerrested give me a ping and we'll start discussing =)

Thats what i was getting at, but people are judging so quick. I do not think this is an easy job and i know it will require more than C++ learning and understanding.

No, you are being given honest feedback.
A functional MMO (even if not an actual commercial launch) in one summer's spare time, with no previous experience in any kind of software development beyond assignments in comp sci is basically pretty much off the top of the "crazee meterz".
Why not try building something a notch lower in complexity? Why does it have to be an MMO?
