Im using Virtools for past 6 months. Im a begineer in game development.Can anyone guide me what is the basic knowledge in game development. If anyone has the material to learn pls help me out

Here your first step to guide you: drop Virtools. Not a good choice to start with in game development.

What you want is a free and rather feature-complete game engine that has a large community ready to help you. At this time, Unity3D is the front-runner.

Also, I'll refer you to my other post on how to learn this massive and challenging field stepwise.

you just gotta suck it all up as quick as you can if you want to compete.
you used to be able to fit a game on a disk, then you used to be able to fit a game on a cd, then you used to be able to fit a game on a dvd, now you can barely fit one on your harddrive.
