Good advice, especially at the end where he says make games. Personally, from the experiences I've had with teams, I don't think it's my thing at all. It's a good hobby, but when it becomes more than that, it's not really fun anymore.
Currently using Blender and Unity.

game design is good, when everything is working. Its a battle half the time between programmers and artists. There are so many skills, you learn on the job and keep learning. Oh and don't forget the mountains of stress and over time....not to put anyone off.
