OK, so i what to start programming so I whated to ask what would be the best language to learn for a person starting out. Also could anyone recommend any books to help learn. thanks for the help

Python is often touted as a good first language. I don't know of any good books, but, as with all programming languages, there are a plethora of tutorials online, no need for a book (as an added advantage, you can copy-paste code from an online tutorial, but not a book).
