Description
As an introduction to the developer snapshot feature on DevMaster, this is an impressive screenshot from Artificial Studio's Reality Engine. Of course, it has been included in DevMaster's 3D Engine Database. You can find the detailed features of the engine here.

The screenshot is based on a Tech Demo called "The Mansion", which was the first demo to be released that shows off the engine's capabilities. According to the demo description, it "was a demonstration of a complete interior scene running on a standard Radeon 9700 graphics card, which runs at a sustained 40fps (slightly lower here due to video capture overhead). The demo illustrates the performance and features our engine can deliver on even modest platforms. As with all our media, there were no edits, external processing, "scripting", or special tweaks. This in-game footage includes demonstrations of per-pixel lighting, virtual displacement mapping, world shadowing, High-Dynamic Range Rendering, Blue-Shift, Post-Process spectral flares and glares, advanced rigid body physics, reflection mapping, dynamic projection mapping, rain & lightning effects, and various custom shaders."

That is an impressive screen/video. The engine looks quite impressive, with some good artists (and a better sound guy), someone could certainly produce a high-end commercial quality game with that

Great, it even manages to emulate d3d on linux, according to your engine list. Genius.

I think they mean that most of the code will work under linux and the renderer will only need to be changed, much as they say it would be possible under PS3
