Hey I just found this video on youtube, about how they made the computer animation of the Death Star attack for Star Wars. The interesting bit starts about 30 seconds in:
I love the way he positions and orientates the objects using dials... I wonder if he had to shovel extra coal into the boiler to power the computer?

Fasicnating video. Really interesting to see the tech they had to work with back then and they still made it look awesome.

I agree. I sometimes upload work in progress videos for my racing game and there is always the idiot comments mixed in... Need for Speed looks better, graphics look bad..., they do not realize a indie as a indie, we do programming, modeling, networking, website design all by ourself instead of the luxury of 30 to 40 people per department.
