Description
Hello again. It has been a while since I posted last. We are now about two months away from completing the game! So I thought I would share some of the last bits of progress. I moved over to a deferred lighting scheme so we could do tons of point lights for the night levels. This is a picture of a test level I just threw together in a few minutes with the Editor I built. I was playing it in game and was really happy with how everything looked. I still need to put back in the DOF and possibly clean up the shadow pass.

More screen shots here:

Some Info:

Target: DirectX 9.0c
Developed: Visual studio 2005

Features:
Particles,
Point Lights,
Soft shadows,
Physics,
All the usual stuff :)

Farmlands Synopsis info:

A board game with collectible items. You build farms,
plant crops, and battle over the center territory. Battles are
resolved through playing a slot machine mini game. There are all sorts
of items to collect. Different crops you can grow, power ups for your
farms, character or bombs, tornadoes, fire, etc to destroy crops, and
farms. There are also special buildings you can land on in the game.
At the end of level you earn new items to play with.

Here is a site that talks a bit about the game it is a year old so a bit outdated:
http://www.farmlandsgame.com/

Here is the company site where I have a Blog on development progress and a social network of developers and gamers:

We are planning on releasing sometime the 3rd quarter of this year.

Cheers,
Greg
