Hi - I am attempting to build an app to do the following . .

Read in a time elapsed audio sample (hours in duration) and locates and extracts events (5-ish seconds in duration) which exceed a threshold db parameter.

This may be the entire app - but I may have to . . .

Compare the extracted event with a library of signatures to identify and record a list of event occurrences.

My development environment is vb.net – so pretty flexible – but I can morph as needed.

Execution environment will be a XP platform.

Thanks

Bob

I don't know, but this sounds oddly like a school assignment, or assignment of some kind in any case.
