greetings, we are a independent newly formed developers group, and our intent is to make a free for all mmorpg... and i know this is the hardest type of game to make, but still i think we already have a capable team,...... we are really new, just 1 month ago, but we already have a good backround for the game, however we need an army of programmers and 3d modelers to archieve our goal....

we cant promes you any payment, and we dont have any income yet for that matter (also the income will depend in donations for the project) so the only thing we can give you is experience in this particular area, and also a good way to make your portfolio look even better, so if you want to go pro...but you still havent started any serious project, please join our group.

also im not going to lie to you, the reason we are looking for new people is because 70% of our staff is not really active (some are people with no programing or modeling skill and no experience other than playing games) but i think the 2d art and the backround are very good ( this is sounding kinda arrogant, because its my job to make the 2d concepts) also we have a good 3d modeler and 2 great programers, but is not enought staff to make something as ambitious as a mmorpg....

EDIT*: the project will be done in c++ and here is a pic of the 2d art concepts (i have around 50 concept right now, and the number is growing, also the quality..)



the game is actually based on a elemental wheel, and is deeply thinked and also i consider it flawless...also theres some ecceptional individuals who will adquire the elements powers, and will be thought as gods..and the plot goes really deep, and the concepts and logical ideas are one of the backround´s strongh points...so be confident about asking more...or asking for more pics....

Nice sketch. The feet seem a little small in the detailed sketch for the bulk of the body, especially considering the size of the hands.

No offense intended, but you are going to come to a great dissapointment. I can tell the future, and I know for certain that your mmorpg will never come to completion.

Try something smaller like a simple rpg.

about the feet, he as four of them, so no problem there

about your psyquik abilities....i kinda know that, becausee the game is very short in staff, and thats the reason im recruiting and i know theres no offence intended, but i did get offended by the unnesesary comment, no because your guess about something you dont really know, is because im trying to recruit people here, and you are not helping...but i see you intented to help so no problem...(also the current programers for the project are really good, and also ill make everything possible to keep this project moving)

I am just trying to give some advice from someone who has been there. I am sure the guys you are working with are very talented, but those of us with experience can spot this sort of project in a second.

By all means continue on your project, it will be a good learning experience and it is really the only way you can truely understand what I am trying to tell you here. I only mean to tell you not to get too dejected when people turn you down. An experienced programmer knows that your project will not succeed no matter how much he helps you, and for that reason he will not join you.

Your art is very good. Be sure to keep that stuff around whether your project makes it or not. It makes good portfolio stuff.

On a side note, you actually might succeed if you scale back your plans. Dont try to make an mmorpg. The server work alone is too much work for a non professional team. If nothing else, at least read the article on the main page of this site A Beginner's Guide to Creating a MMORPG

thanks, well i knew that was your intencion, so dont worry, as for the projects, it haves to many inactive people in it, so i to fear for the destiny of it, (i only said i got offended because i need people who can believe that the project is going to be completed, even if is to hard to do) and even if the project fails to be a mmmorg, we can still adapt it to an rpg, anf the sarting work is almoust the same (regarding modeling and concept arts) also i already saw the guide, and i think we are capable of making a mmorpg, and i know its hard, but we are inspired by another team of independent developers who actually made a mmorpg (or at least are almost done with it)

thanks for your advice...( ill keep day dreaming anyway, and as im only the 2d artist, i can always use my work for other projects such as mangas)
