I just discovered Sony's Cinescore:

It is a cool piece of software that you can use to generate musical scores. I've never seen anything like it before and I was wondering if anyone knows of similar software.
Music generation/creation software

Well, with FMOD you can work with established thematic material or hire a composer to generate thematic material that can be implemented in a wholly non-linear and even generative manner inside a game or interactive media.
I mean, beyond anything Sony's Cinescore can do, you can create fully interactive soundtracks in a very powerful way. Cinescore is merely a motif construction kit--composers have had generic construction kits like this available to them for years--it's really a hackneyed way of providing a director with a soundtrack.
It's generally flavorless because it's not music that was designed for you or speaks to your vision as a director or game developer.
