G'Day every one, I'm LordNecro. I have recently become interested in creating a Text Based Browser RPG, not a MUD or anything, just a game like darkthrone.com. I am hoping to go it alone, but i would like to base it off an engine or something to save time. If i cannot get an engine i am going to have a go at creating one from scratch. If you are good with PHP and MYSQL(HTML won't hurt) and you are interested in helping with the game or being partners then reply here or send me a PM.

i can design the site myself, i also have gfx artists helping me, i just need some one to help program the site, using PHP. I have tried looking for a good engine but have failed, so if some one with knowledge of PHP knows of a good engine please let me know

out of curiosity, what is your game about?

It is a Space RPG, where you can rank, upgrade items and ships, buy new equipment, hire crew members, command a crew, attack your enemies, it will also have skills and experience for you and your crew.

I have the entire thing planned out, i know what i want the game to do, i have a site i go to that is fairly similar to what i want my game to be but i haven't gone much into developing yet, just planning and querying for information.

Hi,

When you say that you need someone to help program the game, it sounds like you wan't them to do all the programming work for you.

Out of interest, what is your background? Do you have much programming experience yourself? Have you started building an initial concept or the beginnings of a framework for the game?

I myself also want to program, I am learning PHP and MYSQL. But, I would also like some one experienced to help me with coding so that it will get done quicker and to help me learn what guides don't tell you.

As i sad i am learning myself now, so i don't have much experience. I do though know PHP scripts for submitting information(used to steal peoples phishers and alert the victims). I have drawn a really rough design of the site and I will design the game page later, but i am trying to get the initial game concepts to work with the game source i am using to work with.
