VirtualRay is 3D engine intended to render fantastic worlds. Engine is based on ray tracing principals. Engine uses spheres as base primitives for levels, i.e. it renders scenes built of spheres. Main features of engine are real-time full scene illumination, per pixel soft shadowing and lighting. Therefore, engine does not use lightmaps etc and any other precalculations. Detailed description, header files and SDK are available on the home page as well as example 3D shooter game that uses VirtualRay engine.
